As Typhoon Carina and the enhanced southwest monsoon unleashed
torrential rains and widespread flooding across Metro Manila and nearby
provinces, SM opened their doors to thousands of displaced residents. Serving
as vital lifelines during this crisis, not only shelter was provided but also
essential relief and support through the efforts of SM Supermalls and SM
Foundation’s Operation Tulong Express (OPTE).
