SM City Butuan is all set to welcome CARAGAnons!

If you think you’re ready for the new normal, SM Supermalls’ first venture in CARAGA is at it too!

Prior to its opening on Friday, November 13, 2020, SM City Butuan is now prepared to accommodate its shoppers. As the first mall in the country to open during a pandemic, strict health protocols will be in place to ensure a safer malling experience. These include “No mask, No entry” Policy, body temperature checking using thermal scanners in all entrances (those who have a fever will not be allowed to enter), disinfectant mats, and frequent use of alcohol and hand sanitizers.

To further strengthen health and safety measures, the mall will also use Trace Together: an end-to-end contact tracing solution as a response to the Philippine government’s effort to fight the spread of COVID-19.

This innovation aims to ease contact tracing and create a more enjoyable and efficient experience for the tenants and customers. This will serve as a check-in tool for all individuals by scanning the QR codes posted in the tenants and strategic locations within the mall.
