SM Group Brings Christmas Joy Through Kalinga Donation Drive in Zamboanga City

The SM Group is spreading hope and good cheer this Christmas season to thousands of families nationwide as it mobilizes its Christmas Kalinga donation drive.

 

Representative from Home for the Women in Barangay Talon-talon received the Kalinga Food Packs from Mr. Benedicto Granados Jr., Mall Support Group Operations Manager.

 

This is a joint project among SM Supermalls, SM Retail, SM Markets, and SM Foundation to provide essential items to residents and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and recent natural calamities.

 

The SM Store Manager Ms. Lesley Wee turned over the Christmas Kalinga food pack donations to representative from Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center III in Logoy Diutay, Barangay Talon-talon.


"This is part of SM’s way of giving back to the community that we have served and we are serving,” said Oliver John R. Tiu, SM Supermalls Vice President for Operations in Mindanao.

 

The SM Group is distributing over 50,000 food packs across the country, 10,000 of which were allocated in Mindanao.

 

In Zamboanga City, the recipients of Kalinga Food Packs were TODA drivers, Reception and Study Center for Children, Home for Women, Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center III (for PWDs), Home for the Elderly, and the Samal Community in Zambowood. Leading the distribution were Mall Support Group Operations Manager Mr. Benedicto Granados Jr., and SM Store Manager Ms. Lesley Wee.
