Uniqlo, SM Foundation donate facemasks to Zamboanga City’s Essential Workers

Being true to its commitment to be of service to the Filipino public during the coronavirus pandemic, SM Foundation Inc. (SMFI), in partnership with Japanese clothing company Uniqlo, and through SM City Mindpro, recently donated 4,000 AIRism facemasks to medical frontliners and essential workers from different agencies in the city.

Among the beneficiaries include health care workers and employees of Barangays Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4, Canelar and Camino Nuevo – to include Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR) street sweepers, City Health Office (CHO) workers, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) IX and City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) employees.

Heading the turn-over of Uniqlo AIRism facemasks donations are SM City Mindpro’s Assistant Mall Manager Aileen Ann Enriquez, Public Relations Officer Arnel Manahan and Marketing Officer Lorrain Jayyari.

Since the onset of the outbreak, Uniqlo Philippines’ initiative has been working with its long-standing foundations, charitable partners, government agencies, and other organizations to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the years, SM Foundation Inc. and Uniqlo have been collaborating on social good projects.
