AirAsia expands Cebu network with news flights from Davao, Palawan and Boracay this summer


CEBU, 6 March 2017 – The hype is building up for AirAsia in Cebu with brand new flights to the Philippines to usher in the summer season. The World’s Best Low-Cost Carrier for eight consecutive years officially opened its newest flights from Cebu to Davao, Palawan, and Boracay via Caticlan airport with promotional seats now on sale for as low as P398.

Philippines AirAsia CEO Captain Dexter Comendador said, “It’s an exciting time to visit Cebu this summer season and connect to various island destinations in Boracay, Palawan, and Davao with AirAsia’s awesome connectivity and unparalleled low fares.”

AirAsia is offering all-in promo fares from as low as P398 available now at www.airasia.com for the travel period between April 22 to August 31, 2017.

Starting April 22, AirAsia will fly from Cebu to Boracay and Palawan daily while flights to Davao are scheduled twice daily. From Davao, AirAsia will also fly Boracay, Palawan at three times weekly, and to Clark at four times weekly.

AirAsia added flights from Cebu to Singapore and Taipei in November last year and increased Cebu – Kuala Lumpur flights from three times to four times weekly as part of its commitment to boost tourism in Southern Philippines. The airline is also servicing Cebu – Incheon/Seoul in South Korea.
“With our newest routes, AirAsia would like to provide much-needed connections and tap into underserved markets, grow it, as there is definitely great tourism and business potentials in Visayas and Mindanao. We are thrilled to paint Cebu skies red,” Comendador added.
During the formal launching ceremonies held in Circa 1900 Casa Dos, AirAsia also presented its latest destination campaign titled #ChasingWonders, which aim to draw travelers to discover the rich beauty of the Philippines, its hidden gems, and pristine attractions.
