Uniqlo Philippines, SM Foundation Give Uniqlo Lifewear Shirts to Frontliners

Uniqlo Philippines partnered with SM Foundation Inc., through SM City Mindpro, to reach various essential frontline workers and distribute their signature t-shirts in celebration of its #ThankyouFestival.

Uniqlo Philippines shared their LifeWear (Dry T-shirts) to frontliners from various local agencies in Zamboanga City – police and traffic enforcers, city health personnel, garbage collectors and street sweepers, to name a few, who work tirelessly every day to keep everyone healthy and moving. This is just a simple gesture to show appreciation for the hard work of our healthcare and frontline workers.

The said shirts are smooth and comfortable with a casual, cotton-like texture. It is also newly updated with a contoured silhouette for easy movement and added DRY technology. Through this clothing technology of Uniqlo, frontline workers will be comfortable under those layers of PPEs especially that Philippines is a tropical country.

It can be recalled that Uniqlo Philippines and SM Foundation have been constantly collaborating for the purpose of social good. Aside from LifeWear, they also donated various health essentials and food packs to those affected by various calamities recently. (SM PR)

SM Foundation, The SM Store Donate Shoes and Sanitizers to DSWD

Committed to help the less fortunate and vulnerable communities, SM Foundation Inc., through its Operation Tulong Express, and The SM Store Mindpro donated shoes and sanitizers to DSWD Region IX – a great start for the month of love.

More than 1 million worth of donated shoes and sanitizers were distributed by SM Foundation and The SM Store Mindpro to DSWD IX last February 2, 2022 at SM City Mindpro.

Over 1 million worth of more than 3,000 pairs of brand new shoes and more than 200 sanitizers were turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IX. Regional Director Atty. Sittie Raifah Pamaloy-Hassan, together with representatives from DSWD IX, received the donation and will be distributed to various communities in the region.

The simple turnover ceremony was attended by SM City Mindpro Team headed by its Assistant Mall Manager Aileen Ann Enriquez, The SM Store representatives led by their Branch Manager Lesley Wee, and Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IX headed by the Regional Director Atty. Sittie Raifah Pamaloy-Hassan.

“SM will continue to collaborate with DSWD in providing assistance to various communities, especially those that are beyond our reach. We thank SM Foundation and The SM Store for this initiative as it can help the less fortunate during this challenging times”, said Assistant Mall Manager Aileen Ann Enriquez.
