Cebu City, Philippines – The Australian Table Grape Association officially launched the 2026 Australian table grape season in Cebu City with a live cooking demonstration at The Marketplace Robinsons Galleria Cebu, bringing the fresh, premium Australian table grape experience closer to Filipino shoppers.

The activation opened with remarks from the Australian Table Grape Association, emphasizing the Philippines’ growing importance to the Australian table grapes industry.

“The Philippines continues to be one of our most important and valued export markets, and this event brings Australian grapes even closer to our consumers. Cebu is another key region where we aim to grow with the support of our partners in the country,” said Jeff Scott, CEO of the Australian Table Grape Association.

Chef Celina David showcased the versatility of Australian table grapes through three standout recipes—the savory Trio Queso Nacho Grape Pico, the sweet Woodland Panna Cotta with Rosemary Balsamico, and the refreshing Sparkling Twilight Grape Velvet Lassi.

The activation drew strong engagement from shoppers, media, retail partners, and key opinion leaders, with the presence of Australian Table Grape Association leadership further reinforcing the industry’s commitment to on-ground consumer engagement in Cebu.

“This program is a great way for us to share the sweetness and story of Australian table grapes with Filipino families here in Cebu,” said Jesse White, International Marketing Manager of the Australian Table Grape Association.

This activation is part of the broader 2026 campaign, which will roll out in-store sampling activities, eye-catching retail displays, digital and social media promotions, and point-of-sale materials. The goal is to help shoppers easily identify Australian-grown grapes and better understand the different varieties available this season.

Exports of Australian table grapes to the Philippines have continued to grow steadily in recent years, with the country consistently ranking among Australia’s top export markets for the category. The Australian Table Grape Association expects this positive momentum to continue in 2026, driven by strong supply, an expanded variety range, and rising Filipino demand for premium imported fruit.

Variety of Australian Table Grapes Make a Sweet Arrival in the Philippines

Cebu City, Philippines - The official start of the Australian table grape export season in the Philippines is celebrated by the Australian Table Grape Association (ATGA), along with a fun advertising campaign available at select merchants nationwide. This program, which is supported by Hort Innovation through grower levies, showcases the unmatched quality and flavor that Australian grapes are renowned for by bringing the best Australian table grapes to Filipino customers.

The goal of the advertising campaign, which is being carried out by the ATGA in collaboration with Hort Innovation, is to increase the market share of Australian table grapes in the Philippines. Customers will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of Australian grape types through this campaign, including well-known favorites and fresh, cutting-edge cultivars that have a distinctive flavor profile.

Jeff Scott, CEO of the Australian Table Grape Association, shared his excitement about the new season and promotional efforts in the Philippines.

"We are incredibly excited to launch the Australian table grape season here in the Philippines,” Mr Scott said.

"Our growers have worked tirelessly to produce the highest quality grapes, and we are proud to share them with the Philippines consumers. This promotional program is a significant investment in connecting with our Filipino consumers and retailers, ensuring that the excellence of Australian table grapes is recognized and enjoyed across the market."

In-store tastings, educational materials about the kinds and advantages of Australian table grapes, and exclusive promotions to mark the launch are all part of the promotional campaign. This program will include a few retail partners nationwide, namely Dizon Farms, Landers, Metro Supermarket, Robinsons Supermarket, S&R, Shopwise, and The Marketplace, making it simpler for customers to obtain and enjoy these wonderful fruits.

 "We believe the Philippines market holds great potential for Australian table grapes, and we are committed to providing our consumers with not only superior quality produce but also an exceptional eating experience," added Mr Scott.

"Through our promotional program, we aim to build lasting relationships with Filipino retailers and consumers alike, further cementing Australia's position as a leading provider of premium table grapes."

The Philippines represented almost 7 percent of Australian table grape exports for the 2022/23 season. The Philippines is currently the fourth largest export market for the 2023/24 season.

The ATGA's promotional program is a testament to the strong trade relationship between Australia and the Philippines, reflecting ATGA's commitment to promoting healthy, high-quality produce internationally. As the season advances, the ATGA looks forward to more engagements and opportunities to celebrate the shared passion for table grapes between Australia and the Philippines.
