Books that Build Futures: SM City Mindpro Champions Literacy with Book Nook Launch

In a powerful celebration of knowledge, imagination, and community, SM City Mindpro proudly launches the Book Nook Book Donation Campaign, a heartfelt initiative under the nationwide movement to collect 40,000 books as SM Supermalls marks its 40th anniversary milestone.

 

This awe-inspiring campaign is a testament to SM’s unwavering commitment to learning and literacy, with a goal not only to collect books but to spark lifelong learning and nurture a culture of reading among Filipinos across the country.

 

A portion of the donated books will be turned over to the National Library of the Philippines and its affiliate libraries, while others will help fuel the expansion of SM Book Nook reading hubs in more SM malls and partner institutions nationwide — reaching children, youth, and families in the farthest corners of the country.

 

“We believe that books have the power to open minds and change lives. Through this campaign, we hope to create spaces where stories are shared, dreams are born, and futures are shaped,” said Aileen Ann Villa-Enriquez, SM City Mindpro Mall Manager.

 

SM City Mindpro invites the Zamboangueño community to be part of this meaningful movement by donating unused books in good condition. Accepted materials include:

• Fiction and non-fiction titles
• Children’s books and young adult literature
• Academic and reference books
• Magazines and comics

Through the SM Book Nook initiative, mallgoers are encouraged to donate new or pre-loved books, which will be distributed to underserved communities across the country.
