SM Foundation and SM City Mindpro Champion Lifesaving Mission Through Blood Donation Drive

In observance of Blood Donor’s Month, SM Foundation and SM City Mindpro, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga City Chapter, Western Mindanao Command, Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Wing Western Mindanao, and the 530th Air Brigade Group, launched a two-day blood donation campaign on July 21-22, 2025 at the Cinema Lobby, Level 4 of the mall.

 

This initiative reflects SM’s unwavering commitment to nation-building through its Health and Wellness advocacy, aiming to help ensure an adequate and accessible blood supply in the city. By working closely with key military units and local health organizations, the campaign is geared towards saving lives while fostering a spirit of volunteerism and civic responsibility among Zamboangueños.

 

The bloodletting activity brings together SM workforce, affiliate and tenant employees, and uniformed personnel in a unified cause — to give the gift of life through voluntary blood donation. It also serves as a timely celebration of the National Blood Donor’s Month, honoring the silent heroes whose donations are critical to emergency care, surgeries, and treatment of diseases.

 

“We are grateful for the strong collaboration with our partners in health and public service. Through this drive, we are not only collecting blood — we are also cultivating compassion and community resilience,” said Aileen Ann Villa-Enriquez, SM City Mindpro Mall Manager.

Aviation Excellence on Display: Philippine Air Force Exhibit at SM City Mindpro

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) – Tactical Operations Wing Western Mindanao (TOW WESTMIN) proudly joins forces with SM City Mindpro for an exclusive three-day exhibit from March 28 to 30 at the ground level. This immersive showcase invites the public to experience firsthand the strength, dedication, and unwavering commitment of the nation’s air defenders as they celebrate their 78th founding anniversary.

Brigadier General Rocky Binag, Wing Commander of the Tactical Operations Wing - Western Mindanao, led the opening ceremony, sharing insights into the PAF’s vital role in national defense, disaster response, and regional security.

“This exhibit is not just an event, it is a unique opportunity for the public to engage and appreciate the vital roles the Philippine Air Force play in safeguarding our nation,” said BGen Binag. “As you explore the exhibit, you will witness not only the increasing array of miniature aircraft and technology, but also the dedication and bravery of the men and women in uniform, particularly Philippine Air Force.”

The exhibit features an interactive aircraft simulation, display of miniature aircraft models, state-of-the-art tactical gear, and in-depth presentations on the PAF’s operational missions. Mall-goers can have the unique opportunity to engage with Air Force personnel, gaining firsthand knowledge about their training, responsibilities, and career paths within the service.

Adding to the immersive experience, a live band performance enhanced the atmosphere, ensuring an engaging and dynamic event for all attendees.
